A run in the park.

A while ago, Dana wrote a post about her running route. I promised to bring my camera on a run, and write a similar post. And here it is. . .

I run 5km three times a week in the park next to our house. Running around here means lots of hills. (And some of the hills are intense.) But I am rewarded with stunning views in the park.

Living by the beach means running along the coast, and there is nothing better than running by the sea. Here is my route, starting in the park.

The playlist for today's run:

Memories, David Guetta/Kid Cudi
Young Blood, Naked and the Famous
My House, Kids of 88
Just a Little Bit, Kids of 88
Don't Stop the Music, Rihanna
Just Dance (Trevor Simpson remix), Lady GaGa
Get Shaky, Ian Carey Project
That's Not My Name, The Ting Tangs
Paris is Burning, Ladyhawke
Dance Wiv Me, Calvin Harris/Chrome/Dizzee Rascal
Bonkers, Dizzee Rascal
15 Step, Radiohead

Now it's your turn, for anyone who walks, runs, or cycles. The next time you go, bring your camera. Post the highlights, along with your playlist. Go on. It's fun.

Wow! I can see why you'd want to run the 5km. Gorgeous.

What beautiful scenery you have on your runs. Very nice area. I had to laugh, I don't know many of the songs on your playlist. Shows how old I am!

What a great place to run! I lived by the ocean for a year. I miss those runs.

You lucky thing, what a great route! Much respect for having Paris is Burning to listen to on your travels, one of my favourite songs!

Gorgeous! I would do the same, but my photos would all show one thing - the view out of my window (that's what my treadmill faces)!

That is some run. It reminds me of my coast path walks.
I used to always run with a soundtrack on my ipod, nano, or iphone, but since moving to Cornwall I find most of the time the sounds of nature give me the push I need to keep my energy and focus. I never thought I'd say that, but there it is. Time passes and things change.

My husband and I will exploring New Zealand in November/December for seven weeks ... I can't wait!

Beautiful. I haven't been up that part of the coast in ages and I must do so on a sunny Sunday (my Little Miss 4 loves to ride the ponies at Stables on the Park by the tram).

I'm looking forward to getting running again - little miss 6 months not giving me a whole lot of time - or energy (too many night feeds). I run along the south coast - Houghton Bay to Island Bay. It's beautiful, but the cars whizzing by on the road are annoying. I much prefer the look of your running route.

We are so lucky to live here :) x

Gorgeous place. I'd be out there every chance I got. Though I probably wouldn't be running unless something was after me.

so I've always been a little bit jealous of your addy and life on wellington road. and not it's ON. I don't like this feeling but it's coming on strong. For fun I should do a 5k around here and show you the pics of stripmalls, stripjoints and the LA river. Gorgeous...

Oh, man. I just got back from a run, and I want to get up and run there!

I run at 10pm (only time it's cool enough for me, and no, I don't do mornings) so I doubt there would be much of interest on the camera :)
