I did it. I finished my NaNoWriMo. I’m so excited to have written 50,000 words in a month. And in those 50,000 words, I almost completed the arc of my story.
Now I am gathering ideas for my next book . . .
Husband: Don’t you need to finish the book that you've been writing first?
Me: My NaNoWriMo was just practice.
Husband: But you spent so much time on it.
Me: Let's call it recreation. It was like watching TV.
Husband: (exasperated sigh)

Congratulations! That's an awesome accomplishment. And yes. You are most definitely a winner.
Juli = winner. What an accomplishment! Take a few days and enjoy not writing. Harness all that honesty and vigor for the written word...it will serve you well in the long run :).
Congrats! You're a total winner. Even if it was just watching re-run sitcoms practice, that's freakin' hot.
That's amazing! If your book is half as entertaining as your blog, I'll order a copy now!
good on you!
Congrats! And good luck on your second novel. But yes, take a few well deserved days off and refresh. It will clear your head.
I don't plan to look at my NaNoWriMo draft for a couple months (read years). I have two other first drafts from 10 years ago, and a rough outline with lots of notes for another book. I'm ready for #5! (And Script Frenzy.)
Congrats. I appreciate your blog title.
