I don't know how to cook rice but fortunately I have a rice cooker. I just throw in the rice and some water, hit the button and twenty minutes later I have perfect fluffy rice. Not sure how it actually works, but it does and it's awesome. I just hope my rice cooker never craps out on me, I'd be in trouble.

Ive got lots of recipes for Gluten free and sugar free goodies if you ever need them. A lot of them contain Ground Almonds - so no good for nut allergies, but I do have a dreamy chocolate pudding recipe with no dairy, sugar, wheat or gluten. It does have a high calorie count, uses spenda as a sweetner (though theres nothing to stop you using sugar) and it tastes devine. Email me if you need anything :)

Living with a Filipino means lots of white rice (he doesn't believe in brown rice). When we irst met, I tired to sneak in Minute Rice. I think Santa brought me a rice cooker that Christmas. I had a very young flatmate fresh from mum and dad's when I first moved to NZ, and he didn't know how to cook. Myself and the other flatmate (both Canadians) both liked to cook and we both did our rice by your method. Shane must have watched us but had missed a crucial step. One night he made dinner for his girlfriend and after a bit he came out into the living room and asked for some help with the rice "It's been cooking for 20 minutes but it's still hard". Well yes it would be, if you hadn't added any water :P Poor guy, he was so embarrassed!
