"That wasn't me."

When the child turned three, I noticed I was yelling.

Anger was not in my Zen parenting plan. It was surprising. How could a three-year-old be winding me up?

After the angry moment passes, I say to the child, "Who was that yelling? That wasn't me."

We don't often talk about parents’ anger.

Not crossing-the-line anger. Just the angry feelings that we all have from time to time. And how we model them to our children.

I liked this story about it.
